Ultra Fine Mill Parts
UMA manufactures new replacement parts and reconditions worn components across the full range of ultra fine and stirred milling equipment: Stirred Media Detritor (SMD), ISA Mill, FLSmidth VXP Mill, Outotec HIG Mill and Metprotec.
Parts are moulded with UMA DUREST for longer wear life at operating temperatures up to 110°C. SMD impeller arms can be individually replaced as they wear, and worn impellers, grinding discs and product separators can be fully reconditioned, rebalanced and re-moulded numerous times.

SMD impellers and mill discs
SMD impellers are manufactured in the general sizes SMD-90 (90 kW), SMD-185 (185 kW), SMD-355 (355 kW) and SMD-1100 (1100 kW), with caps available to cover cover-holes for extra protection.
On IsaMills, grinding discs wear fastest — typically around six months depending on particle size — while product separators average about 18 months. UMA polyurethane extends both. On HIG and VXP mills, discs can be lined in polyurethane, metal hard facing or rubber, and the lower discs that wear faster can be replaced individually.
